Goodbye to The White House

The White House from The Street    The Hotel at dusk    The reception desk

Liz and I bought The White House in April 2001 back when our children were toddlers, the internet was a new fad and nobody had heard of Brexit.

In the time between then and now, we have had the pleasure of welcoming thousands of people through our doors, the overwhelming majority of whom have been delightful and a pleasure to have met.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers over the years, especially those who have returned year after year.

However all good things must come to an end.

Eighteen and a half years on, our children are now grown up and are out in the world doing their own thing. We feel it is also time for us to move on and so this year will be our last summer here.

We have sold The White House and it will close its doors for good on Tuesday 17th September.

The house will then revert to a private dwelling for its new owners.

If you wish to visit the area after we have closed, we are happy to recommend the following
